When I saw a news snippet that referred to the upcoming "6/6/06" date I knew something interesting would come of it. Of all of the events I have seen scheduled on that date the best has got to be from the seminal speed/death metal band that makes Bon Jovi look like NKOTB and Poison look like, well, Poison.
Yes, Slayer will begin their new tour on this day! This was more than enough excuse for some fanboys to instigate the "National Day Of Slayer", where they suggest that everyone should skip work and school and just play Slayer all day long. They are quire specific about the fact that you are NOT supposed to wear headphones... this is about making sure that everyone around you knows that you are celebrating it and you damn well expect them to join in because you have no intention of turning it down!
