When I saw an article that says Japanese suicide rates are skyrocketing due to western influences in business I can't say I was too surprised. it just confirms what I have long suspected; the American cut-throat business culture, based on adversarial relationships, rewarding mediocre/godwaful management with extremely disproportionate benefits, legal posturing and threats to stifle competition, and so on are not only a bad fucking idea but outright profoundly unhealthy.

The RIAA filed suit quite some time ago against an elderly man they claim downloaded pirate music using the Kazaa network. The man and his wife denied all charges. The RIAA lawyers are ON RECORD trying to distort witness statements and put words in witnesses mouths as well as outright telling witnesses to lie about certain facts "or we will lose the case"!! Now, the man being sued is dead. You would think that would be the end of it... but NOOOOOOO. The RIAA has asked for a 60-day break so that the family can "grieve"... and then it's back to court to depose the surviving family members!! OMFG!!!!

1 - I am bummed out that there appear to be absolutely no real users of this site. Oh sure, I get mad porn and prescription drug traffic (or I did before I lobotomized my blog software). It would just appear that I don't get any other traffic, except for a few months ago when I wrote an article on my experiences using Proton's PICBASIC and Mecanique's EasyHID in developing a functional USB peripheral. Hell, despite my deliberately putting up pictures of myself I still do not rank on Google Images... at all. So other than that, and the rather surprising news that one of the top search terms that bring people to this site is "us festival" (for all 27 of us left alive), I guess I am just not putting out anything that anyone cares about. This comfirms my theory that geeks never get the hot chicks. Don't ask me why, I'm drunk.
2 - I am drunk. WHEW! Boy howdy... NICE AND DRUNK. A big thank you to my good friend that took me out to Blackstone Brewery tonight, wherein I indulged in no less than 7 of the limited-edition Hefeweitzens in relatively short order, and with almost nothing in my stomach. How else would I have the unmitigated nerve to bitch so vaingloriously? Warren Ellis inspired me to do this. He posts drunk all the damn time. Chicks FLOCK to him. Of course he is a brilliant author, while history appears to be ready to judge me as "choad smoke". And you're welcome for those millions of iTrips, you know who you are.
